CATS... part 2

Many of you have been emailing me or iming me wanting to know the update on our cats. :0)

So here is the story(nothing in our lives can be normal) I hope you are sitting down for this story, because, well, you decide for yourself.

I got the cats at home and finally got them into their boxes. Carried both of them outside and put them into the car. Allie(the brown one) was going nuts meowing and just going crazy rocking back and forth in her box. Alex(the white one) was making a little bit of noise.
So it is about a 20 mins ride to the Humane Society. the whole way there, the cats were going back and forth and making noise and trying to get out of their boxes. I (I know I am insane i know) talked to them and told them where they were going and that they had to be good and pass a test so they could go to a new home and all that crap.

We get to the place and the lady gets their names and figures out which one is which and then tells me she will be back in about 15 mins and you wait here. We are going to do a behavioral test on them.
So here i am sitting in this lobby, preparing myself that I will almost definitely go home without one cat and possibly 2 cats. I was getting excited and also sad, you know just all kinds of emotions.
I think it took longer then 15 mins, but finally the lady and the cats came back. She was barely through the door and says," Yeah, this is not going to work."
MY CATS DID NOT PASS THE BEHAVIORAL TEST!!!! OH MY WORD!!!!
Can you believe it. I was a little upset. you know how you prepare yourself for something and then it does not happen like that, come on. They are just cats take them!!! :)
She explained to me that they are beautiful cats and nice, but they were so scared.
Alex, was so scared he would not let her pick him up out of his box. My goodness.
she did finally get Allie out and she just meowed and whined.
Both their pupals were dialated really large, which means they are scared and there was just to much noise for them.
They told me this was not a good environment for them and told me good luck placing them. She did give me a couple of names and places that I might be able to call to see if they can place them.
Can you believe that. What cat can't pass a behavioral test? My word!!
On the way home, they were both fine, quiet. I did hear one of them making a lot of noise in their box and looked in my rear view mirror and bam, just like a dog, Alex is out of his box looking out the window. My cats are way to smart.
He just hung out walking around the car and looking out the window and checking things out.
Soon as we got home took them inside and out of their boxes and they were fine. Like nothing had ever happened.
SO here is what I think, I know I was the stupid cat owner and TOLD them where I was taking them and TOLD them they needed to pass this test. They totally played that lady. thinking they were scared of the enviornment and of her. Whatever.
So Wes and I still have 2 cats. It was disappointing and frustrating, because we had prepared ourselves to be rid of them. They are fine with us know. We will continue to try and place them and see what happens. who knows what our next story will be. :0) I know now, not to tell them where we are going and what they will be doing. Too smart Cats.
So if you know of any one who wants cats that are really, REALLY good cats and can handle kids or adults, give them my number. Obviously we don't have stupid cats, they are smart. how could you not like that. They are well trained. Or is it that Wes and I are well trained? Who knows.
So hope you enjoyed that story!! Who would of thought that my cats would be to scared to get out of the box to even attempt to pass the rest of the behavioral test.

Oh my goodness! You had me laughing so hard!

I can just imagine you talking to your cats and explaining what they are to do...and I can see them in the back not paying attention at all. (Hmm, kind of sounds like me with my kids in the back seat!)

Oh well, evidentally you are stuck with those cats...good luck placing them, although it could be harder than you origionaly thought...seriously, they didn't even get to start their behavioral test because they wouldn't get out of the box?? WOW! :)

Those are some cats! :)

Thanks for the Laugh Jodi. I'm sure Arika would be glad to know that they are still there. Every time we pull up a picture and she sees it of Allie and Alex she asks about them for the rest of the day!! hahahA
In good time you'll figure out what to do.
