Grand Canyon

Over the Thanksgiving break, Wes and I went out to my sister's and Parents in AZ. We had some time to kill so we decided to head up north to see the GRAND CANYON. It took us about 5 hours to get there. WE did have a little stop in Flagstaff to get coffee and potty break. Oh and to get the kids warm jackets and gloves
It is really funny, becuase it started to snow while we were there and it was getting very cold. It was just like Michigan for Wes and I, but the thomas family was very cold(Hense the coffee).
We got to our hotel and it was cold. but fun. I have pictures from our trip but they am not able to load all of them right now.

On Sunday we took the whole day and went into the Grand Canyon. WOW, it was busy for one, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Pictures really don't do justice to it. It was my 2nd time being there. It was Wes' first time. It was really fun and awesome to see God's creation.
It did get scary a little as there there were 4 adults and 4 kids. the adults each got a kid. :0) that was fun. Overall they kids were great. WEs did not have to many heartattachs. He survived. Wes was a real trooper with the kids and then also being afraid of heights. Since I am not afraid of heights, never even thought about it. But Wes did a good job.

Here are 2 pictures with the fam and my sister and I. Will post more later!!!

This is at the entrance of the park. It was freezing this day. We took this picture the day we were heading back to phx. It was so cold. I took pictures with my camera and the timer, but when we got back in the car, we did not have a group pictures, so we all had to pile out and take this picture. The kids were awesome, we had to do a funny picture!! My sister and I at one of the points. It was a great day, weather was warm and could not of been more perfect. Fun times with my sister's family!!

I love that you had to pile back out .... I thought you "piled in" any way... so wish we could have been with you.... Dad is so with Wes on the Heights thing.... but did love the GC when we went yearsssss ago...
How fun you could all go together.... Imagine that I had the same "heart attack" thoughts about you going there with Kaleb.... Bless his heart. I love His since of adventure, but the "NO FEAR FACTOR" is what gives the heart attacks.... So much joy, excitement and hey, he kept all of you on your toes, no doubt.
