FATHER'S DAY

Today is Father's day. A day to honor the men in our lives who have been our father. I am not able to be with my dad to help him celebrate this day, but I still tell him HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

My dad, is great. He is one that has always made laughter in our home, when we were growing up and even now when we visit, there is always laughter. He is a rock. Some one who stands firm on what he believes, he is solid, not swaying one way or the other with people or beliefs. My dad is wise, he seeks the lord for counsel, he thinks before he speaks, he is not hasty to share what he thinks. He listens and sees where you are coming from before he speaks. My dad is a great friend. How funny is it that my husband calls my dad for advise and to talk with him to figure out how to deal with me. :) My husband sees my dad a a true friend, I see my dad as my true friend, all of the above are things you look for in a friend and my dad was first my parent and will always be my dad, but now as an adult he is my friend and I love to just spend time with him and hang out. My dad is giving and willing to give his time and heart to something he loves or to people he loves.
My dad turned 50 this past year and you would not know it to look at him. He is always on the go, running doing this or that and young at heart!!
My dad loves to smile and when he does he gets this twinkle in his eye, that means he is up to something. He can be very mischievous. Watch out!! :)

Dad, I love you so very much. I am sorry we could not be together on this day to celebrate you. (well we would not be together anyways, you would be at the RACE). Know you are loved and looked up too and admired! You have been a wonderful dad to me and also to my husband. We both love you very much and miss you!! You have taught me a lot in life. Thank you for being my dad for the special times growing up, you made me feel special and feel like I was your only girl in the world(with 3 other girls in the house). I treasure those breakfast times we use to have so long ago and thank you for taking an interest in my life and wanting to know me and love me for who I am. Thank you for being firm with me and guiding me as I grew up. Thank you, even though you did not always agree with my decisions, for standing by me and helping me to learn how to make decisions in life and being there when the consequences came.

I love you so very much Dad!! you mean the world to me and I am very thankful to God to have you as my father. I would not trade you for anything.
