Friday, was a great day. I laid out by the pool in the sun in the morning while Wes was working. We ate lunch, then we got this CRAZY idea that we did not want to sit around all afternoon by the pool(okay, it is not Wes' fav thing today so we came up with another idea). We thought we will rent a car and head over to Cocoa Beach. It is about 1 1/2 hours away. We finally after about an hour found a place that had a rental car and took a taxi over to the hotel and we were on our way.
One of the reason we went was to go to the ORIGINAL Ron Jon Surf shop. Wes was in the Orlando area of his Senior class trip and wanted to go back. We thought ah, why not.
We got to the shop and it is HUGE!!!!! 52,000 sq.ft. Also, we have a friend who wanted a new Stein, so we sacrificed for you Nathan. ;) and went to the shop. (hardship uh?) We bought a lot of stuff, oh I found SO much stuff I could use in my bathroom(cuz it is a beach bathroom) But of course, not enough room to bring most of the store back, so I settled on getting some medium starfish I will put on the wall. We had a great time! Oh did I mention that we left Our hotel at 1:30 and we had to be back to leave the hotel for our night a
ctivity by 6pm? Mm We thought we had enough time. We had about an hour in Ron Jon and then we had to go, becuase I wanted to go to the beach. It has been almost 5 years since I have been to the real ocean. AWwwwww, so we finally found a parking spot and ran onto the beach and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh the beach. I really don't know why I love the beach and water so much, I did not grow up by the water or the ocean. It is just a great thing. So we had 8 min. at the beach(our meter was for 15 mins.) Here are some pictures. It was so beautiful!! I could of stayed forever!!! on the beach , with the wind blowing and the water and the SUN!!!!!
Then is was back in the car and RACE back to Orlando to get ready for the rest of the night. WEll, we forgot that we were going back into a MAJOR city and that it was FRiday night and RUSHHOUR. WE hit some heavy traffic and we were not sure we would make it intime. We pulled up to the hotel at 5 mins to 6 and we were leaving at 6. there were still a lot of buses not loaded to we ran upstairs, we are on the 9th floor, well we caught the elevator. (ha run up 9 flights of stairs) I took the fastest Shower of my life and dryed my hair and we took the elevator back down to a Lobby full of people, where we stood for another 15 mins before we loaded the bus.
It was great fun and crazy. WE had a lot of fun. the story that is above tells about our night actity!!!

Sounds like one quick trip there and back. Too bad you didn't get to stay longer. Something tells me you'll be making another trip at some point : )

So glad you got to put your feet in the water and see the beach again.... I think we all have that in our blood Jodi, maybe because we had such special times when we went as a family!!!! I'm so glad even if only for a few minutes!

We have been there to Cocoa Beach and the Ron Jon surf shop!
That place was so cool...our kids LOVED it! The beach was beautiful when we went to...but 2 of our 4 kids HATED the sand (that is a whole story in itself!), so we didn't stay long either. :)
