DIRT and WORK

This past weekend, my husband and I worked on our yard. IT WAS A TON OF WORK. We had 20 yards of dirt delivered on Friday and then we barrowed a bobcat from a friend.
Saturday morning we got up, Wes had a hair appt, he left and I worked on pulling out, digging out all these trees and bush roots. IT WAS HARD WORK. I was very thankful for a cool day. They sun was out, but we had a breeze and it was only about 70 degrees. It was perfect, I am so thankful to God for blessing us with good weather.
We started moving dirt around, it was about half our yard. It dipped down really bad in this one section, so we wanted to raise that up with dirt about 2 feet.
Wes had a blast learning how to use the bobcat and dumping dirt.

It took us most of the day to get it all leveled out, and raked over. Wes' best friend Nathan came to help and then Wes' younger sister's Adrienne and Brittany came to help also. We finished with the dirt at about 5pm. There was still some more work to do, but we had an open house to go to, so we got cleaned up really fast and went and then came home and back to work we went. :0) Wes wanted to work on the driveway a little and then we also had some tree stumps grinded out and had to smooth those out and make sure they were ready for grass.
We were planning on laying seed down for grass over this whole thing, we knew it would be hard work, but it had to be done. BUt God has been so good to us, the same guy we borrowed the bobcat from, also had some extra hydro seed that he is going to spray down for us. SO WE DON'T HAVE TO SEED!! This stuff is like top of the line. It is the best way to have grass grow in your yard besides laying sod. So we are thankful to Paul and to the Lord for providing this!!
We ordered pavers to lay down as a walk way from our driveway to our back door. They are 16 x 16 and there will be 2 beside each other. We got 106 pavers. This is a lot my friend. :0) They will be delivered(becuase they weigh 42 lbs. a piece and it would take 3 loads in the truck to get them to our house) on Wednesday. We will lay them down and be able to walk to our door now.
We are looking forward to the finished project. This has been needed to be done for like3 years now and it just takes time, but I know we will both be so happy when this is done. That was our crazy Saturday, Sunday was insane too, church, then youth group right after and then nephew's birthday party. It was a good weekend. Got lots of word to do.
will keep you updated on our yard and how things go.
The pictures are not posting right now , so i will try them again later.
Cya!! :0)
