Alone with Husband

Last night Wes and I went out by ourselves. Not something we do often and our first time without Landon all night. We headed to Ann Arbor and ate some amazing Fondue dinner at the Melting Pot. WOW! Was it ever good food. Definitely put some money out, but it was totally worth it and the food was SO good. We started with some cheese fondue, had some salad, the entree with the normal oil fondue and then dessert was CHOCOLATE Fondue. Oh man, was it every good!!! Loved every bite we had and really enjoyed our time together. Had to eat slow, which means, lots of talking. :P

We then stayed in a hotel in Ann Arbor. It just so happens there was a band Wes really likes was playing at the bar at the hotel, so we were up late listening to some very good music.
Had breakfast this morning(which I love and always try and get).

Overall, the time with just the 2 of us was great. Much needed. Little man did great with his Aunt Cynthia.
It has been a very long time since the 2 of us have gotten away, other then just for dinner out, so we really enjoyed the time and realized we need more of it. Little things we forgot, like holding hands and talking and not having to worry about feeding a little boy seem to keep a couple busy at other times, so we really enjoyed this time away and conversing with no interruptions.
If you are married and have kids, even if you don't have kids, if it has been a while since you and your man have been away from the business of life and the family, take time to get away. It is great, fun, rejuvenating and feels like you are dating again. It is important to take time for our spouses and each other. I had forgotten how fun Wes and I can have and life with the 2 of us.
I love my Little man, but you know what I mean. Each couple needs to keep their love alive and you can get that by getting time away together.
Hope you had a great weekend.
Counting down the days till Carter comes. 6 days.
