Crying my eyes out!

Here is a story for you.
I was running late to church this past Sunday(I am on praise team this month) I had gotten up early to feed Landon and then Wes was going to bring him to church. So I could not find anything to wear, I just don't like any of my clothes. So I rush out the door and head to church. I am almost to church and of course I am speeding. I am going like 60 something in a 55 MPH zone. No big deal, not a lot of cops out at 8:30 in the morning. It is raining and all I could think was" I am going to be so late" Go FASTER!!! Well, no sooner do I decide this and I see, Yep you guessed it, a COP.
He is coming from the other direction. He slows down and turns around. I thought, OH MAN, I AM DEAD. He so got me. I have no idea how fast I was going when he clocked me, but I thought for sure he was turning around for me. SO I slow WAY, WAY down. He just follows me for about a mile or so and then decides to STOP ME. I GOT STOPPED by a cop.
OH MAN, rough morning and then this just adds to it. That is the way it goes huh?
Well, I get my license and insurance thing out and wait for him to come up to the window. Of course I just lose it. I start crying. He asks me for my license and insurance and then he asks for my registration. I did not know what is was. I said, " what is that, what does that look like?" Yes, I know I asked him this. He just smiled and tried to explain to me what I should be looking for. It finally clicks in my head, what I was looking for. I pull it out for him and then he leaves.
I am just crying and crying, thinking Wes is going to kill me and I can't believe this and I AM GOING TO BE EVEN MORE LATE.. OH MY WORD!!!. But I was able to clean out my glove box, which was a good thing. Threw out some things that I don't need in there anymore.
He finally comes back and asks me if I Knew how fast I was going and I told him no. He tells me I was going 66 in a 55MPH. He was not going to ticket me, but gave me a strong warning and then tells me to please be safe as these roads are wet from rain and they are windy and he wants me safe.
Then he goes on to tell me that he could ticket me because the back of my registration form was not signed. He said most cops will ticket you for this, but I am not going to. Take it easy and have a nice day.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. I GOT OUT OF 2 possible tickets? Oh man. I laugh now and was even laughing a little later that day, but man, I guess I need to slow down. It was funny.
I cried and got out of a ticket. LOL I never thought I would do that. But honestly, I was already at the point of crying anyways and it just pushed me over.
Funny thing is, my Father in law got a ticket on Sunday morning also on the way to church. LOL and he got a ticket. He said he will have to take lessons from me so he can get out of his next ticket.
It was a great start to a day. I am thankful the officer let me off and I will be more careful and slow down. :)

I laugh now as it is funny. But I have been much more careful in driving and not speeding even if I have been running late.
Do you have a good ticket story? Tell me about it or post it on your blog. :)

Poor thing! I hate when that kind of stuff happens!!

I got pulled over once when Josh was about 6 weeks old. The officer told me that he could have taken me to jail or ticketed me. He actually let me off with just a warning but I was crying BIG TIME! It's scary!!

Jeff just got pulled over last week on the way home from a long day of planning the funeral services. We were on the freeway at about 10:30 at night with all three kids in the car. Josh said "Dad are you going to go to jail?" All we could do was laugh because there was so much else going on that week!!
