Memory?

People told me or I have always heard pregnant people say, "I forgot so easily when I was pregnant", or " you really lose some brain cells once you have kids". Well, Landon has not been born yet, but I can sure vouch for the pregnancy memory loss. It is just temporary correct? Please tell me it is.
Here is the story that brings this up. Last weekend, went to a wedding that was out of town. Hubby and I were gone for a couple of nights. Took my cell phone and the charger with me, well cuz you just don't go over night without those things. I used my phone charger one of the nights and KNEW I needed to remember to put it back in my bag in the morning, other wise I would forget it. Next morning, I was getting packed and thought, I need to go take care of this charger right away. :o) Which I thought I put it into a bag of mine, not the bag I brought it in, but still putting it into a bag is fine. Loaded up the car and away went. Double checked the room before we left and thought we were good to go.
So we get home and my phone needs to be charged. I look EVERYWHERE for my charger. In my bag, Wes bag, in my purse, in all the other bags we had acquired over the weekend and NO CHARGER!! I was so upset. One, it is very rear for me to lose stuff, 2, this just does not happen to me. ( I think my husband found it funny). So I thought it to be somewhere, I remember putting it in a bag, right? Do I remember putting it in a bag or am I just LOSING MY MEMORY? I call the hotel to see if they have found it,housekeeping never called me back. I know I still have it somewhere, but I have checked all the bags. (side note, I needed my cell phone this weekend as I am the one of the coordinator at our church, so I wanted the bride to be able to get a hold of me) SO finally I give in and realize I have to go buy a new charger, But I don't want to spend the money. But my husband tells me I have too, you need the charger.
We finally found a charger, it took forever. I was able to charge my phone up and get it ready and I was happy, but still very disturbed that I lost or misplaced my original charger. I know I put it in a bag.
This morning I go to get some food out of a bag I had taken on our trip and what do I find? You guessed it. MY CHARGER!!!!!! I could not believe it.
My real question is, did I lose my memory for a brief moment and not remember what bag I put the charger in or did I have a total memory laps on what I am doing?
SO that is my memory story and being pregnant. My husband got a good laugh this morning at me.
Now I have 2 chargers, this way if I ever do forget a charger someplace or misplace it, I am always covered.
