Graduations

This past weekend was a busy one for my hubby and I. On Friday night was his twin sister's high school graduation. It was not a long graduation, which was nice since it was scorching hot!! Both girls were in the top of their class, they were both co-valedictorian and co-salutatorian. They both got to give speeches. They did a very good job. It is so crazy to see they have both graduated from high school. They both have HUGE potential and we know God has something very special planned for their lives.

This is mom and dad, and then Brittany on the far left and Adrienne in the middle. Yes, they are twins and they are not identical. Here is Wes with his sisters. I would say he is a very happy and PROUD brother. These girls are very special to Wes(and me) he loves them and protects them very well. He is a good older brother.

On Saturday morning we headed up to Canada, 5.5 hours away to see my sister and her husband graduate from their 2 years of training with the mission they are going with. It was a long trip, but totally worth it. We made it to the church and were very happy to see them get their degrees and be able to see them make this huge accomplishment in their lives. We hung out with them for the rest of the evening and saw where they had lived and some of the things they learns over the past 2 years. It was a good time. Here we are with them

Saturday night, we got to stay in a very quaint Bed and Breakfast. This was Wes and I first experience at a B&B. It was very nice. The people were super friendly and it was a good first experience. They funny thing is, the had given our room away to someone else, it was suppose to have a queen size bed in there for us, but the guy felt really bad and asked if we were alright sleeping on twin beds. LOL We thought he was joking. Nope, sure enough we turned into our room and there were 2 twin beds. Wes said it was the best sleep he has had in years. :o) I did not like it. how did people do that way back when. Oh well, it was one night and we both survived. The breakfast was AMAZING. I love breakfast and don't get it very often, so this was a huge treat to me. All kinds of goodies. I don't know if I will stay in another B&B, just because this one was so nice and clean. It was great, no hair anywhere or worrying about who was here before us. It was clean and nice. My kinda place.

Sunday we hung out with my sister and her family for a little while before we made the long trip home. There is this fresh water spring that goes through the campus, so we stopped on our way in to get water and on our way out to get water. MMM, nice and cold and GOOD!!! Wes was nice and got the water for me. It is a long bend down there. ;0)

This is my cutie Niece. I just love her to death. Arika is just over 2 years old and is so smart. She knows her shapes and talks alot. Wes and I were able to draw on the sidewalk with her with chalk. She likes people and loves it if you play with her. WE played with bubbles and bubbles, I got to paint her toes and nails. Such a cutie. You can't not love her to death and just want to squeeze her to death. She says cheeeeze when you tell her you are going to take her picture.

Her and her parents will be moving back to Michigan next week and I am very excited to get some much needed time with my sister and her husband and little Arika. Should be a fun summer!! :)

So that was our crazy weekend. It was fast and fun. It was full of people we love. As tired as Wes and I get sometimes running all over the place, my husband said it the best. It is all worth it. People are important and we love all these people we spent time with. They mean a lot to us!!! Sleep and rest will come some other time, but people and family are important and times with them are memorable and priceless!!
