I told you I bought a car oh, about 3 weeks ago. It took 2 weeks for me to get the license for it and I drove it last week. Very cool. I was very excited about driving a small car all the time. Of course, my new honda is like a mini car compared to the Big Truck I have been drivin for the last 2 years.
I enjoyed driving my car last week and parking it. Oh so very easy to park it. ;0)
I noticed that when I drove it, there was a clunking noise, my husband called it a grinding noise in the back right rear. That is not good. My brakes we not stopping me as well as I would like them. There was no "slamming"on the breaks. Kinda scary!!
then last Friday night I went to a friends house in Marshall, that I had to drive in the interstate and it is about 30 mins away. It was dark when I left her house and went to start my car. It started fine, but I had no dashboard lights. MMMMMMMMMMM BIG PROBLEM!! How was I going to drive home. I could see my speed and I had to drive on the interstate. SCARY!!!
I drove home the whole way with my dome light on. HAHA I have to laugh. Had to laugh then.
Those were a couple of things that I saw as some issues that I wanted checked out before dead winter hits here in Michigan. Oh, also, I thought I would get the oil changed and get all the fluids checked just to be safe.
I called a local place here to get my car in and decided to take it in on Wednesday. Went through the rest of the weekend and on Monday morning it got really COLD. Wes went out to start my car and it would not start. So I took the truck to work. We figured it was the battery or something. Tried to start it later that day, started right up. CRAZY!! Tuesday morning, wouldn't start again. It was cold again. Now I am really glad that we were planning on taking the car in on Wednesday. Went to take the car in on Wednesday morning. had to jump the thing, because it was FREAKING cold out. Could see my breath. NOT GOOD MAN!!! I DON"T LIKE THE COLD!!!
Got the car started and dropped it off at L&A Automotive. Gave the guy the list of things we wanted checked out and left the car.
Guy called us back later on Wednesday and told Wes what was wrong with everything and gave him the total it would cost.
Of course we were thinking that it would be well, between $600-$1000 to fix. Not happy, but still if we can get this honda running it will be a good car. It was so much cheaper then what we thought. PRAISE THE LORD. Got a new battery,I now can see my dashboard things when I start the car and I have reat brakes. (Yeah, I had NO rear brakes. LOL)
SO the car is good to go. I am excited. Now just want to clean it really good on the inside and make it mine.
Thought I would give you all and update on my car. I am driving it now and I feel total safe in it now. Which is nice, especially since winter is coming!!
WE are hoping that this Honda will last us for many years to come or well at least a year or two!
That is all from here. Catch you later!!!!
