Ah, the FUN!!

Wes and I decided to go away for the Labor Day weekend. Well, just Sunday and Monday. As some of you know, we have tried to go on a jeep Dune ride earlier this summer. It did not work out do to some medical issues. so we attepted again this past weekend. We headed up north on sunday morning and took our time getting there. We got to Ludington around 4pm. We checked into our room and decided we wanted to go check out the Big Sable Lighthouse in Ludington State Park. Away we headed, driving along Lake Michigan, was beautiful. WE get to the park and realize that it is a 1.5 mile walk to the light house. We wanted to hurry as we wanted to climb the lighthouse. So we kinda had to book it. It was suppose to rain all weekend and not be nice at all. Our walk was beautiful. The sun was out and the weather was perfect for walking. The walk was fun and it was great to me with my wonderful husband and talking and just being the 2 of us together. We get to the lighthouse and it is just beautiful. We got to climb up the lighthouse inside. Oh man, it was so cool. There were 136 steps, not normal steps but spiral steps. Very narrow at one end and not even my foots width at the other. There are a couple of platforms you can stop every like 30 steps. It was just so very cool and exciting. At the top, the view was amazing. Looking at Lake Michigan one way and then Dunes the other. And just beautiul!!
We finished with that and then started back to our car. About half way back, we decided to walk on the beach. I took my shoes off and waled in the sand. Oh man, what a great feeling. Walking with the man you love, your best friend, having the sun beat down on you and your toes and feet hitting the warm sand and water of the beach. I just LOVE THAT!! It was a good walk. Lots of laughing and just talking. So much fun and enjoyable.
Then we just hung out the rest of the night. Such a blast and so much fun. Very enjoyable. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!! Well the stupid pictures will not load. I will try another time.
