IKEA... PAVERS

So Ikea opened here in Canton, MI back in June. June 7th to be exact. Many of you know that I love this store. Good products and cheap, well not cheap but good priced!! I finally convinced my husband to go on Saturday. (Shopping is like the last thing he wants to do) So we headed out on the hour long trip Saturday evening and got to Ikea. It was still busy!!!! At 7:30 at night. We breezed through the show room and then went downstairs to shop. (See, I already had a list, i visit thier site often, so I would know what I would want, whenever I might get there) :0)
I have been to Ikea before, but it has always been in AZ or in Chicago, where I am not able to buy anything that is to heavy or that will not fit into my suitcase(after Christmas no less). Wes did not want to be there too long, knowing how I can be in this wonderful store. So shopping we go. Wes did find some stuff to buy and of course I did. I did not get quite everything on my list, but I did come in under the amount Wes said I could spend. HAHA. Good shopper I am, My mama taught me right. :0) We did get thier cinnoman rolls. YUM YUM!!! and then we went to Don Pablos to eat, which was so yummy, of course we did not have room for the rolls after the good mexican, so we saved those for Sunday after lunch. It was a great time with my husband and going ot Ikea. I apprecaite you Wes, sacrificing your Saturday evening to be with me and go shopping! I love you so very much!!! :0)


Saturday, we had no plans, which is becoming quite rare these days, so I got outside and started working on my pavers again. Yes, I know what you are thinking, didn't she start those FOREVER AGO? Yes I did, 39 days to be exact. How sad is that?!? But I have to tell you they are done. yes the pathway from the driveway to the back porch is finished!! WHAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Can you tell I am very excited? I layed 105 16 x 16, 42lb each pavers!!! That is 53 pavers long, 70.6 feet long, 2 pavers wide. It was a lot of work, but it looks so nice and it is so very nice to walk on. It is great. Wes helped me on Saturday, finish with some dirt and get the last pavers, I think the pavers that I laid on Saturday were heavier then 42lbs. LOL
It is completed. Now I can get to the rest of my yard and get that in order. If you saw my yard, you would think it was a jungle. It is very bad. SO I will post pictures soon, so you can see the finished work.
I did learn one thing, for any of you who get the crazy bug like i did to lay so many pavers or pavyers at all, start the pavers at the point, if you have an object. Like, I started mine at the end of my driveway and went to the porch, well, it does not look quite right, so I should of started at the porch and then gone toward the driveway. Just a side tip and at no extra cost to you.
There you go. It was a good weekend. Had a great time with my husband and working and shopping and doing youth group. Was great!!
