Yard Work

Well, Yesterday I had the afternoon off. It was very nice. I have not had an afternoon off, with nothing to do, in a VERY LONG TIME!! It was great. I went and had lunch with my Hubby. that was fun!
Then it was such a beautiful day outside, I worked outside!!! When I was pulling weeds last week I found GRUBS. Oh they are so disgusting!! They are like huge, white, magnified maggics. They eat all the good green grass in your yard. So gross, not good to have. SO I went yesterday afternoon and bought some grub killer. I WILL KILL THOSE DESPICABLE THINGS!! (they are so gross I will not even post a picture) SO I speed it over the whole yard. Then It was time to pull weeds, and shear some grass around my rocks out front. It was a great afternoon.
Those of you who have never seen mine yard. IT IS HUGE,we have 3 city lots and I house is on one and the rest is yard and trees and grass and plants and ect. It can be pretty, but has taken a lot of time for Wes and I to get use to knowing what to do with a yard and how to do everything. Cutting grass is easy, it is everything else that is a huge hassle. I have found that I enjoy it thought. It is calming and I put my ipod on and just work away. I love being outside and working my butt off and coming inside and just being so tired and DIRTY!!! Then you know you have accomplished something. It is great!!

I look at weeds and wonder why in the world would God "bless"us with them, but then think of the parables in the bible about sowing the good seeds and not allowing weeds to come up and kill the crop. God is good, even though I despise weeds, it does get me outside and working, which is a good thing.
So get outside, enjoy pulling some weeds and sing praises to our wonderful God.
